So, as you know, I bought some new nail polish, and I'm not sure i bought them because I wanted to do this design, or I did this design because i bought them. Anyway, I decided to do something with a neutral colour like gray, and then add something colourful.
I did the gray base, but when I got to painting the ends stripy, I needed something to get an even arch. I would have used the little sticky things that you get with french manicure-sets, but I didn't have any, so I got creative. I cut out pieces of paper the shape I wanted, and taped them onto my fingers. I managed to get the nailpolish on my thumbnail stuck to the paper, but fixed it decently...
As I always do, I did a top coat to give it shine, and to make it stay on longer! ^^

Shopping day
Yesterday I went shopping, and obviously I had to get some nail polishes... I had already thought of my next design, and bought colours according to that.
Just to give you a taste of how i paint, here's a little artistic picture of what it looked like when I was done! :3

...suggestions?
Since I did my nails not long ago, but am starting to get some page views, I thought I had to make a post anyway. So I'm going to ask you readers for suggestions to what I should do next? Just write your ideas in the comments, and I'll see what I can do! :D

Roses
This is a design I've done once before, and I was inspired by a youtube tutorial. This time I'll show you in pictures, step by step how I did it. ^^ Here's a picture of what it turned out like:
Then I started on the roses, and even though they look complicated, it's really easy. It's a dotting and swirling technique, like this. It looks best if you do two dots of the colour you want, and two dots that are white. That way, you make it look like a rose. Next, I used a toothpick, and all I did was swirl the dots together in a circular motion! ^^
After doing this on all of my nails, I tried adding some green leaves, but since I am on vacation and didn't have the green I wanted, it wasn't very successful. I wasn't as happy with the outcome as I could have been, so I'll add a picture of the last time I did this design. Enjoy! :D
First, I did a white base. Two strokes, so that you can't see the nail through. |

Ribbons... and stuff.
So in this post, I'm going to show you the design I did for my graduation. I was unsure what to do, but I wanted something to match my dress, so I did it this salmony-pink. I also thought ribbons would be sort of... cute, which seemed suitable for the occasion. This was quite a simple design, where I started by doing the pinkish base. Next, I painted the shape of a ribbon in white, and last I did the outline and the details in black. Simple as that! ^^
The light isn't so good, but you can probably tell that my hand is on top of the material of the dress. Which kinda-sorta matches the colour of the nail polish. ^o^ |

Hi everyone, and welcome!
If you read the description, you know that this is my very first blog. I will post pictures of the nail art I do, and with it a little tutorial on how to do it. Maybe I will start posting sequence pictures documenting the steps, or short videos. This is not an "update every day"-blog, but I will write every time I do something new on my nails, and in the beginning I can show you some of the previous things I've done. Enjoy! ^^ Just to start things off gently, here's a picture of my last nail art, a simple but colourful design!
Not the most interesting, I know, but I like it anyway! |
