Memes!

I'm a 9gager, so I figured I'd have to do the memes sooner or later. I was pretty happy with them, have a look! The whole thing took me two and a half hours of lying on the bathroom floor with my music on!

Like it? ^^

Summer Paradise

Actually, more like fall paradise. I'm leaving for Greece now, so I decided to do something that sort of fits that. So I did an exotic sunset!

And that has to be the worst photo quality of all time, but at least you can see the picture. Sort of. I sponged the dark and light blue on, like with the Nyan Cat design, and then I painted the sun and its reflection. Last, I did the palm tree.
Enjoy your vacation! And if it's not this week, enjoy it when it is!

Sailor style

I was actually sketching this design out in my German class, and decided this was what I would do:

The sailboat is on my right hand - did it with my left - so it's a bit shaky...

Just a small comment: it would be nice if you left a comment if you liked it - or even didn't like it, just so I know what you people think. In whatever language, Norwegian, Swedish, English, German...

I love colours!

So, I changed my original idea a little bit. I was going to do all my nails blank, with squares on the top part, but decided to be a bit more creative with the squares. Hope you like it!

Just a little update

Haven't written in a while, people, but just to tell you - I will try to paint my nails again this weekend. Not feeling very well today, though, because I hit my head really hard yesterday, and it bled a lot. Hopefully no concussion! ^^ I have an idea about what I'm doing on my nails next, but not giving anything away...

Total Awesomeness

So, since someone said "rainbows" when I asked for suggestions, I decided to combine that with nyan cat. And this design took me two days actually, because the different parts had to dry before I could continue, and I went to do other things in the meantime! :P

I started with this background, with a light blue fading into a dark blue. A friend showed me the technique. I used a sponge and painted a part of it light blue, and the other dark. Then I "sponged" it onto my nails.

Then I painted the nyan cat on my thumb, with the start of the rainbow after it.

And finally I painted rainbows and stars on the rest of my fingers. Hope you enjoyed!

Back to school...

Haven't posted in a while, but I guess nobody is too upset. School starts again tomorrow, and to make a good first impression, I wanted some impressive nails. I wanted to do the swirly pattern that is my special, but I totally failed, and went with stars instead. (Or flowers, if you preferr to see them that way. x3)
I did a white base, and the stars in a velvet glitter black, and then did a top coat with some gold glitter nail polish I found somewhere! ^^

Super Mario and Luigi

So, I can't be bothered to do my nails right now, but since I still feel like updating my blog, i will show you the design that I am the most happy with - ever! Super Mario Bros. ^^

So, I did grow-big mushrooms and Mario on one hand, in red, and Luigi and 1up mushrooms in green on the other. If you can't see because of the weird lighting on the pictures, then the background is pale green... This design took me a reeeeally long time, because of all the details on the Super Bros, and I sat at the computer for two hours, looking at a picture of them, to get the colours right. So: never give up! Or something like that, if you feel like being inspired.

Striped ends

So, as you know, I bought some new nail polish, and I'm not sure i bought them because I wanted to do this design, or I did this design because i bought them. Anyway, I decided to do something with a neutral colour like gray, and then add something colourful.

I did the gray base, but when I got to painting the ends stripy, I needed something to get an even arch. I would have used the little sticky things that you get with french manicure-sets, but I didn't have any, so I got creative. I cut out pieces of paper the shape I wanted, and taped them onto my fingers. I managed to get the nailpolish on my thumbnail stuck to the paper, but fixed it decently...

As I always do, I did a top coat to give it shine, and to make it stay on longer! ^^

Shopping day

Yesterday I went shopping, and obviously I had to get some nail polishes... I had already thought of my next design, and bought colours according to that.

Just to give you a taste of how i paint, here's a little artistic picture of what it looked like when I was done! :3

...suggestions?

Since I did my nails not long ago, but am starting to get some page views, I thought I had to make a post anyway. So I'm going to ask you readers for suggestions to what I should do next? Just write your ideas in the comments, and I'll see what I can do! :D

Roses

This is a design I've done once before, and I was inspired by a youtube tutorial. This time I'll show you in pictures, step by step how I did it. ^^ Here's a picture of what it turned out like:

First, I did a white base. Two strokes, so that you can't see the nail through.

Then I started on the roses, and even though they look complicated, it's really easy. It's a dotting and swirling technique, like this. It looks best if you do two dots of the colour you want, and two dots that are white. That way, you make it look like a rose. Next, I used a toothpick, and all I did was swirl the dots together in a circular motion! ^^

After doing this on all of my  nails, I tried adding some green leaves, but since I am on vacation and didn't have the green I wanted, it wasn't very successful. I wasn't as happy with the outcome as I could have been, so I'll add a picture of the last time I did this design. Enjoy! :D

Ribbons... and stuff.

So in this post, I'm going to show you the design I did for my graduation. I was unsure what to do, but I wanted something to match my dress, so I did it this salmony-pink. I also thought ribbons would be sort of... cute, which seemed suitable for the occasion. This was quite a simple design, where I started by doing the pinkish base. Next, I painted the shape of a ribbon in white, and last I did the outline and the details in black. Simple as that! ^^
The light isn't so good, but you can probably tell that my hand is on top of the material of the dress. Which kinda-sorta matches the colour of the nail polish. ^o^

July 16, 2012

Hi everyone, and welcome!

If you read the description, you know that this is my very first blog. I will post pictures of the nail art I do, and with it a little tutorial on how to do it. Maybe I will start posting sequence pictures documenting the steps, or short videos. This is not an "update every day"-blog, but I will write every time I do something new on my nails, and in the beginning I can show you some of the previous things I've done. Enjoy! ^^ Just to start things off gently, here's a picture of my last nail art, a simple but colourful design!
Not the most interesting, I know, but I like it anyway!
